Prestige Vacations was created in 2019 by Nick Hillebrand and Mark Hondru with a passion around creating unforgettable experiences for their guests. With Mark’s vast experience of the Deep Creek Lake region going back to 1980 where he spent his summers on the water, and Nick’s extensive experience in real estate and they came together to create something special in the Deep Creek Lake region.
Area Attractions
Deep Creek Lake and its surrounding Maryland highlands offer a year-round mix of outdoor adventure and laid-back charm: in summer, the lake itself is perfect for boating, kayaking and swimming, while nearby Swallow Falls State Park and Deep Creek Lake State Park feature dramatic waterfalls, miles of hiking trails and scenic picnic spots; winter brings Wisp Resort’s downhill skiing, snowboarding and terrain parks plus cross‑country trails and snow tubing, and autumn lights up the mountains with brilliant foliage ideal for drives and leaf-peeping; small towns like McHenry and Oakland host farmers’ markets, artisan shops and local eateries serving regional fare, and for wildlife and history enthusiasts there are guided nature tours, fishing charters, historic sites and seasonal festivals that showcase the area’s Appalachian culture and outdoor lifestyle.
Each of our rental properties are less than 10 minutes from Wisp Ski Resort, and 5 minutes from the boat and kayak rentals.
